This is a liquor store facing Shima Onsen town.
We have a wide selection of Joshu sake, as well as local beer, local shochu, wine, and more.
The large refrigerator is stocked with canned beer, canned chuhai, soft drinks, etc.
Guests staying overnight can bring their own drinks into their rooms or dining room at liquor store prices.
We also have snacks, canned goods, cup noodles, etc. available, so we can accommodate those who come without meals.

    Our recommended sake is "Shima, " our original pure rice sake made using the kimoto method by "Tsuchida Sake Brewery," available in 300ml and 720ml sizes.
    Nagai Sake Daiginjo is famous for its limited edition Mizubasho Daiginjo.
    This is a drink that has also been served in first class on Singapore Airlines.
    We also carry rare sakes such as Asama Sake Brewery's yogurt sake, as well as seasonal limited edition sakes, so please take your time choosing at the liquor store.

      This is our original sake, "Shima."
      This is a kimoto brewing method from the Edo period.
      This is a very labor-intensive sake, and we have a contract with a brewery to brew it for us every year.
      The illustration on the label was done by Ueno Ichiro, a Sendai resident who is famous for his artwork of Mount Fuji and dragons.
      Try drinking it while imagining, "This is the kind of sake people in the Edo period drank."

      This is also our original local sake, "Shimagawa Ginjo Sake."
      This is a ginjo sake made using Tanigawadake grapes, carefully produced by Nagai Sake Brewery.
      Based on the sake brewing rice "Gohyakumangoku",
      Uses "Gunma KAZE yeast" developed at the Gunma Prefectural Industrial Technology Center.
      Brewed with natural water from the land of Kawaba Village,
      This is a ginjo sake with a full-bodied fruity aroma.

      This sake is made using a method that dates back to the Edo period.
      The rice we eat is left as it is and turned into sake using bacteria in the brewery.
      It's a very primitive method of sake brewing.
      In the Edo period, when there were no refrigerators, it's fine to store sake like this!
      This is a drink that expresses that.
      Store at room temperature and enjoy the richness of the flavor.
      "This sake is the one that Tsuchida Sake Brewery has taken to the ultimate level of 'the meaning of brewing,' and will become the flagship sake of the 'Tsuchida' brand."

      Higen was created with the desire to create a sake that customers would dream of and want to taste again.
      Gunma Prefecture, known as the "Yabakei of Kanto," is a lush green area of Agatsuma Valley.
      Uses soft water from the Asama mountain range.
      The company claims to be "the sake brewer that best suits vegetables in Japan."
      Our sake brewing takes place at an altitude of about 600 meters.
      We recommend serving this sake chilled, at room temperature, or warm.
